 Violet Sees

"We’re grateful for your support and because of you we’re actively working to end childhood preventable blindness by helping kids and families in three specific ways.

We’re giving free glasses to kids who need them, working to expand and improve vision screening programs so more kids can be screened as early as possible and providing funding to continue research to find the best treatments possible for childhood vision conditions."

This is Violet, the charming inspiration behind Violet Sees.  An alert pediatrician detected Violet's blindness at her two month check-up, and the family was able to access help early to help restore Violet's vision.  More about Violet's story here:

It was great to connect over coffee and lunch at Whiskey Gulch Coffee Pub on the waterfront in Port Orchard and to learn more about the work Violet Sees is doing to support children. They screen for preventable childhood blindness and help to defray the costs of exams and glasses.

When Girls Understand Their Value

We believe the way girls perceive their own worth/value will have a profound effect on every area of their lives.

Our culture sends conflicting messages that distort and taint our girls’ view of who a woman should be.

When girls understand

their value and worth

they will conduct themselves differently.

They will think differently.

They will make a difference.

We want to instill in them

a deep and lasting knowledge of

who they are

in this society.
